Mount Me

Mountain Dew (also known as Mtn Dew) is a soft drink manufactured by PepsiCo.  It was first invented in Knoxville, Tennessee.  It was first named and marketed in Knoxville, and Johnson City, Tennessee in the 1940s.

Often labeled as “highly addictive” due to over 55mg of caffeine (per 12 oz serving), this beverage is green-yellow, and translucent in nature.  In this weight-conscious climate, it has been tagged as being the leading cause of everything from gum-disease to caffeine addiction.  In February of 2009. ABC’s 20/20 reports on “Mountain Dew Mouth”, only adding to the southern-toothless stereotype.

There are even web sites, depicting how to make Mountain Dew glow with only baking soda and peroxide.

With such stellar fame as being the leading cause of redneck tooth decay, caffeine addiction, and being the primary ingredient in a chem-light, you gotta love this drink.
