October 23, 1983 – Two truck bombs exploded in Beirut, Lebanon. The first struck the Marine baracks with explosives equivalent to over 12,000 lbs of TNT. 241 American servicemen: 220 Marines, 18 Navy personnel, and three Army soldiers died.

An additional sixty Americans were injured in the blast. Moments later, a second truck exploded, leveling an eight-story building, killing 58 French paratroopers.

A total of 299 servicemen died on that day with the organization Islamic Jihad claiming responsibility after receiving help from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Merriam-Webster Online defines Jihad as: 1. a holy war, or 2. a crusade for a principle or belief.

This Marine Corps t-shirt design keys on the belief that the tables can be turned on radical Islam and you don’t have to clutch a Koran to wage Jihad or a crusade.

Your day will come Iran.

I’ve posted some resourceful links below:

To all of the servicemen that died that day, R.I.P. my brothers. To everyone that is viewing this t-shirt design, thank you for stopping by.
